Today after school we ran up to the Shriners hospital drinking fountain. My left shin hurt a bit while I was running and my legs were really tired, probably from the long hike I did Sunday. We did 3 sets of 25 cruches and 3 sets of 15 push ups when we got back to the track.

Today we ran at Cottonwood Complex. We did the first 3K of our race in a pack, and were aiming for 4:40/K. Ashleigh and I stayed with Bre and Susannah for nearly all of the 3K. My left shin was hurting a bit while I was running. Also, the heat made it a bit harder. Overall I felt like I had a strong race. We ran 3 hills that were 400 m long after.

AM: we ran up to Sunnyside park and ran a one mile warm up, two mile temp run, and one mile cool down.

PM:I ran up to the Legacy Bridge with most of the guys, which was quite entertaining. They were taking it easy, which made it so I could keep up with them. My shin hurt a bit on the way back, especially on the downhill so I iced it when we got back to the track.

Today we had an easy run around the block. My left shin is still hurting.

The BYU autumn classic wasn't as fun as last year, I didn't like the new course. It was really hot and I felt sick while I was running but I was just glad I finished. My overall place is how I did in the girls varsity race and then for the division is how I placed on our team.

Wow turns out the course was longer than it was supposed to be! That explains my slower time I guess!

We ran to Sugarhouse, did 5 hills, then ran back. We did the fireman drill most of the way back, I was in a group with Bill, Josue, and Greenie don't know how that worked out but it made for a hard drill for me because they're all faster but it was a good way for me to push myself.

This morning we ran the loop up to Foothill, down 5th s and along 13th e. When we got back to the track we did 10 hills. I felt really good on the hills!

Today was the Murray Meet. I am SO sore from the hills yesterday! I could barely walk when I got up this morning. I loved the course, it was way fun! I liked that we didn't have to do the same thing over and over, except for a very small loop. I felt pretty strong throughout the race and I'm really happy with my time. I feel like I could have pushed maybe a little more though but that'll be good to know for Friday at the Murray Invitational.

This morning I ran around Bonneville golf course with my dad. It was a lot of fun! It was a nice and easy run with the dogs and the golf course grass was good to run on. I'm still quite sore from Tuesday's hills and my shin has been hurting so I've been icing it a lot.

Today's race was a lot of fun but there were a ton of people so that was a bit overwhelming and crazy. Some serious bottle necking was going on at the beginning and by the softball field so that slowed me down a bit but I got a good start so that really helped me avoid a lot of the craziness at the beginning. I'm really excited about my time! I dropped 47 seconds from Wednesday and I'm only 7 seconds away from my state time last year, which is my PR!

Today I went on an easy run up around by the zoo and by Coach Mike's. My left shin hurt and still does. My right ankle is a lot less swollen, almost completely unswollen but it still hurts every once and awhile but that's a lot better than it used to be.

We ran a half mile easy then a mile of speed changes for warm up then did 200's. I did 12 and somehow managed to keep up with the group, only by catching back up on the recovery. My shin hurt during the warm up but only hurt a little during the 200's. I ran a half mile cool down.

PM: 1 mile warm up, 2 miles speed changes, 10 strides, and 1 mile cool down. Really sore on the strides.

Today in our race we ran the first mile and a half all out then the second half tempo. My first mile was 6:35. I lead the whole race until about the last 400m. My right upper leg was really tight and hurt so I ended up taking second by a few seconds and was first for our team. I was kind of bummed considering I'd lead the race for that long but I was so tired and sore I couldn't push anymore. Next time!

AM: Ran to Liberty Park, did 2 laps, then ran back to the track. I felt exhausted and really sore.

PM: Ran up around the U to Legacy Bridge and back. RJ and I didn't exactly know where the bridge was from above it so went a bit past it and had to double back. I still felt sore and exhausted, my right leg was really tight, my left shin hurt a bit, and my right akle started to hurt a bit too towards the end. My ankle had been getting much better and I hadn't felt any pain there for at least a week until today. I think it's a little swollen now. Today was not fun running...

Today we ran to Sugarhouse and ran 10 hills that were 400 m long, with 400 m recovery. The hills were pretty hard, I was hitting about 1:45-1:55 for all of them. I still feel really sore & tired so I think I'm going to take the weekend off to rest up. We played 21 while we were running the hills, which added some competition to the game! I won a candy necklace for getting 21!

This morning we ran to Sugarhouse, did one loop around the park on the road, and ran back. Resting over the weekend really helped, I felt a lot less sore though not completely better.

AM: We did the loop up on Foothill, down 5th s, and along 13th e to warm up. It was freezing! Bill, Bre, Asheley, and I were drafting while we could. The rain was really cold. Back at the track we did 10 100m strides with 100m recovery then a mile cool down.

PM: one mile warm up, 2 miles speed changes, 1 mile cool down. A little sore but not much!

Today we ran at Granger. The course was really confusing, repetative, but fast since there's no way it was a full 3 miles. We ran a little bit of it for the warm up but got confused and ended up at a dead end, so knew not to go there in the race. They ran the boys and girls together so I don't know how I placed overall including the boys but I was the first girl overall, so also the first girl from East. We only had 3 girls running. My right hamstring started to feel tight towards the end but I felt like I had a strong race.

Today we had Ben drop us off in the state park somewhere past the Slick Rock Trail head, I'm not exactly sure where then we ran back home. There was a lot of downhill, so much that the occasional uphill was welcomed. I felt really good running today!

Later we did a little hike to Landscape Arch which is the Arch that was on the news a few weeks ago because a big chunk of it fell off. It was cool because you could see where the piece had fallen off from. We hiked a little bit past that on a "primitive hiking trail" then turned around. Then from there we biked 16.5 miles. It was really hot today but we had some nice cloud coverage for part of the biking. Some of the uphill was really long on but we had a fun long downhill coming out of Arches. I'm not really sure how I should could the biking mileage so I guess I won't for now...

Today I just ran around town in Moab and around the neighborhoods. I felt really tired from everything I did this weekend.

Today I thought there was morning practice, as did Emma, so we showed up at the track and hung out for a minute then realized no one was there and no one was coming. Guess we missed the memo...? I came home and did a core workout of 3 sets of 100 cruches and 3 sets of 30 leg lifts.
